MediaNow Completes Digital Signage System for US Army Aviation Museum — December 2011

Fort Rucker, Alabama—MediaNow has completed installation of a new digital signage system at the US Army Aviation Museum, located at Fort Rucker, Alabama, the nation’s primary flight training base for Army Aviation.

MediaNow designed the new system, which includes nine Sharp large format commercial-grade HDTVs, four Sharp interactive touch screen monitors, and an Optoma 4500 lumen projector, all controlled wirelessly by URC’s MSC-400 master system controller. A Ruckus wireless audio system, including speakers, subwoofers and microphones, was also designed to allow separate audio control from virtually anywhere in the museum. The entire system is powered by Scala digital signage software, combined with Equus servers and MediaVue players, for ease of content creation and management.

Certified and experienced technicians, programmers, project managers and engineers on the MediaNow team, in conjunction with Metro Productions, helped the Aviation Museum determine their needs; designed, installed and deployed the system; and provided end-user training for the museum’s employees. The system will enhance museum visitors’ experiences by providing way-finding information, interactive exhibits, high-quality audio and video presentations, as well as basic information that supports the museum’s day-to-day processes.
